De Angulo Ranch

Nestled in the cliffs 1,700 feet above the Pacific ocean, this historic homestead offers breathtaking views of the Big Sur coastline.  Built by hand in the 1920s by the Spanish cultural anthropologist, doctor, and poet, Jaime De Angulo, a legendary character that mingled with and influenced fellow Big Sur writers, including Henry Miller, Gary Snyder, and Jack Kerouac.

The property features two unique, stunning and separate dwelling spaces, including a two-acre garden with a wide variety of fruit trees from mulberries, citrus, apples, pears, figs, cherries, guava, and avocado.

A truly breathtaking and blissful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, this rustic rental retreat offers ultimate relaxation and the chance to reconnect with nature amidst inspiring panoramic views of Big Sur.

THE MAIN HOUSE

Located directly on the Ridge with magnificent views of the mountains and the Pacific Ocean.  It features a cozy family dining/living room with wood burning stove and communal kitchen.

THE BARN

Located in a private grove setting behind The Main House with views of the Redwood forest and canyon.  This spacious, luxurious, and modern open room space features high ceilings and a recently updated, fully equipped kitchen.
